Owner Cesar Ranuschio started the business alongside his father in 2000, combining his experience doing body and paint work with his dad’s expertise as a mechanic.
While Ranuschio noted that he does some mechanical work when it comes to collision repairs, there is a difference between a mechanic and a body shop like his.

“Mechanics do more of servicing, transmissions, motors idling, stuff like that,” he explained. “I do more visual stuff. I like what I do more because you get to see it.”
Ranuschio sees about four classic cars enter Body Shop 661 every year for restoration services, and is currently working on a 1957 corvette.
Any body work Ranuschio does — whether on a classic car, a brand new car, or somewhere in between — requires painting afterward to complete the look, according to Ranuschio.
“You’ve got to smooth it out, primer it and then paint it just for it to look pretty,” he said.
