The new facility, expected to be open next summer, is about four miles east of the current location.

Crews have broken ground on a two-story building on Santa Clarita’s east side that will house Facey Medical Group’s newest medical office complex near the corner of Soledad Canyon Road and Mammoth Lane.

“Facey is a leading health care provider in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Dr. Fredrick Russo, M.D., president of Facey Medical Group. “We’ve been in the area for more than 30 years and have grown with the community, providing a range of services from primary care to pediatrics; women’s services to urgent care.”

The 37,000-square-foot building will house physicians specializing in adult medicine, pediatrics and ophthalmology and offer ancillary services such as optometry and an optical shop, radiology and a lab.

Facey is exploring options to offer urgent care services there as well. The Facey clinic at 17909 Soledad Canyon Road will move to the new building.

The medical group has been in Santa Clarita for over 20 years. The first location in Valencia opened in 1995 on Valencia Boulevard.

“Many of our physicians and caregivers live in Santa Clarita and we are committed to improving the health of Santa Clarita residents,” said Dr. Russo.

Facey has since expanded to four locations throughout the Santa Clarita Valley including Copper Hill, Canyon Country and two in Valencia.

Frederick Facey, M.D., opened his one-man practice in 1923, laying the groundwork for today’s Facey Foundation/Facey Medical Group, now with 183 physicians and more than 25 allied health professionals serving more than 170,000 patients throughout northern Los Angeles County and Ventura County.

Facey Medical Foundation affiliated with Providence Health & Services in July 2012. Today, Facey Medical Foundation employs approximately 1,100 staff members;

  1. What’s going to happen to the new facility that’s been sitting empty for YEARS since it was built next to the existing one on Soledad?? Nothing’s ever been in there! Supposedly Facey was going to move there, but…..nothing! It’s like ‘put a fence around it and forget about it!’ I’d like to know what is to become of that property!

    • I agree with you Randy, leaving that building vacant and now spending more money to build another site? Its just crazy and that fence doesn’t keep people out, walking by you can smell that it is being used as a toilet by someone.

  2. Exactly where is the new building going to be built? Everything says Soledad Canyon at Mammoth Lane, but I haven’t the vaguest idea where Mammoth Lane might be!

  3. Where can I apply for this location? Who can I speak to about hiring positions?
