Eighteen units in Edd’s Mini & RV Storage located at the 17300 block of Sierra Highway, were engulfed by fire at about 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
The fire was knocked down by 7:55 p.m., according to Fire officials.
Triumph’s Foundation, a local non-profit organization, had a storage unit that lost property to the fire worth at least $10,000 said Andrew Skinner, executive director of the foundation.
“We lost a lot of inventory; more than 50 care baskets, backpacks, equipment, supplies, and items for our fundraiser’s silent auction,” posted Triumph Foundation on their Facebook page.
The Triumph Foundation helps educate people who have suffered spinal cord injuries and exposes them to resources that will help them continue living a successful life, according to the foundation’s website.
“We are still in shock,” Skinner said. “A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into it; it was invaluable.”
