Santa Clarita residents preparing for tax season at TC Financial Group can expect their returns to be reviewed not just by one licensed tax professional, but by two or more.

Instead of printing out the tax return at the end of an appointment and sending the client “on their way,” at least two TC Financial Group staff members spend a few days reviewing all tax returns before finalizing them.
“I think our quality control is one of the best in the area,” said owner Troy Castagna.”We want to get it right the first time and get it accurate, and make sure that you’re not paying any more money to the government than you legally have to.”
In addition to using extra sets of eyes on tax returns, TC Financial Group also separates themselves from their competitors by sending out organizers prior to tax appointments to help clients get prepared and allocating a full hour in a private room for the appointment itself.
With the April 15 tax deadline quickly approaching, tax professionals are advising Santa Clarita residents to help lower their stress later by preparing now.
“This is the time of year when everyone’s getting their information and wondering how much more they’re going to have to pay Uncle Sam,” Castagna said. “At TC Financial Group we can help you sort through all that and try to figure out what to do for tax planning… Our job is to get you as much money back, or at least not make you pay any more taxes than you are legally obligated to.”

“There are certain things that the average person who is not in the tax world all the time can miss,” he said. “In fact, I had someone come in last week who brought (last year’s) tax return, and they had picked up (the previous year’s) whole refund as taxable, but they qualified to not have any of it taxable. So they were paying extra income tax when they shouldn’t have to.”
