Located on Soledad Canyon Road at the Saugus Speedway, the Santa Clarita Swap Meet is held every Tuesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.Santa Clarita Swap Meet Offers ‘Everything Under The Sun’

“Hundreds of vendors come in and set up tents and lay out their wares, and thousands upon thousands of shoppers come in and buy anything under the sun– you name it,” Bonelli said.

Admission is free Tuesdays and Saturdays and only $1.50 per person for adults– with children under 12 free –on Sundays.

Shoppers can expect to see everything from clothes, shoes and cosmetics to music, movies, electronics, furniture, tools, fountains and more.

“It’s everything under the sun. You walk in the gate and there’s Joe selling plants, and you go to the next stop and Al’s selling mortgages, and the next stop Linda’s selling jewelry,” Bonelli said.

In addition to shopping, attendees can also purchase food from a variety of food trucks or enjoy a beer while watching sports on a big screen TV. Every Sunday, the swap meet also features live music by a variety of Santa Clarita bands.

Santa Clarita Valley residents can even rent out a spot for the day to sell their unwanted items.

“Everybody’s welcome to come out and have a garage sale,” Bonelli said. “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure, always. Clean out your garage, come on down, rent a spot.”

Many vendors have remained loyal to the Santa Clarita Swap Meet for more than 25 years, Bonelli added, some of which come from all over the world.

“My father has stories about mucking the house out and getting it all cleaned up. After that they ran the rodeos there for 10-15 years,” Bonelli said. “You can find them on YouTube– they’re actually really fun to watch to see what the cowboys were like back in the 30s.”

The Bonellis then converted the site to a racetrack, which was active until 1996 when it closed due to safety concerns.
