The new office space is expected to be located at 28494 Westinghouse Place, Suite 114 in Santa Clarita, according to a Santa Clarita Valley Chamber news release.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the Chamber and everyone who has been involved this year to ensure the Chamber is a strong and healthy organization,” said John Musella, Chairman of the Board. “Our move from City Hall, well before our one-year deadline, shows the growing strength of the Chamber.  We’re setting goals and we’re beating them.  We have positive momentum now as we move the organization forward full force.”

The new chamber office is approximately 1,200 square feet and is comprised of three offices, a small conference room and reception/lobby area.  The office suite has been completely refurbished by the building owner complete with new carpet, paint, lighting, ceiling tiles and window shades.

The Chamber was represented in their search for new office space by Pamela Verner of SCV Commercial Real Estate.

The Chamber signed a 5-year lease at $2.25/sq. ft. with a 5-year option to renew.  The new lease reduces monthly office expenses by nearly 75 percent from its former space on Tourney Road.

“Our new office space better meets the needs of our membership today,” said Musella.  “It will be the physical hub of SCV’s business community while we work to expand our membership and improve our member services to best meet the needs of today’s local businesses.”

Beginning in December 2016, the City of Santa Clarita provided the Chamber a rent-free location for one year, while the Chamber worked to strengthen its financial position.

The Santa Clarita Chamber would also like to recognize the following member companies for their efforts in dramatically reducing moving expenses:

Simpatico – Providing pro-bono technology support and IT systems migration.

Skycrest Signs – Donating services for new signage manufacturing and installation.

AQMS – Moving the chamber from City Hall pro-bono.

Kaiser Permanente – Donation of IT support to move and set-up computers

Randy Winter Construction – Providing pro-bono tenant improvements.

American Business Machines – Providing pro-bono moving services for the copier.

“Our member companies have shown the Chamber amazing support over the last several months and we are grateful to their continued generosity in helping with our move,” said Musella.

The Chamber will announce a Grand Opening event for the new office in the very near future on a date shortly after the official move.
