Senator Scott Wilk Names Rancho Deluxe Small Business Of The Month (VIDEO)

Senator Scott Wilk named Rancho Deluxe the “Small Business of the Month” for the 21st senate district, the first to be recognized this year.

Steve Arklin Jr. received the ranch’s recognition alongside his father, mother and brother.

“If there’s a worthy cause in this valley, the Arklin Family are involved,” Wilk said.

Starting with five acres of land and being able to expand was a major achievement for the family.

“I think the next thing would be to keep progressing and keep trying to do what we’re doing and maybe expand a little bit, keep helping the community and supporting the community as they’re supporting us,” Steve Arklin Jr. said.

The movie ranch location counts on 200 acres of property nestled in the mountains of Placerita Canyon near Melody Ranch, Sable Ranch, and Disney’s Golden Oak studios.

Rancho Deluxe has natural exteriors and fully functional interior sets designed as part of the city of Santa Clarita Film Office Movie Overlay Zone.

Rancho Deluxe is also part of Los Angeles County’s “Thirty Mile Zone” which means it’s within a 30-mile studio zone of Hollywood.

Because of this, it also provides easy access to filming permits, reduced fees and lower permit waiting time.

Also in attendance at the event honoring Rancho Deluxe was State Assemblyman Dante Acosta, who praised the small business as one of the many institutions that assist in Santa Clarita’s continued growth.

“Small businesses are really the backbone of every community in the district, and that’s really what’s so important,” said Acosta.
