The Shredded Tacos company sent an email to their “Loyalty Club” members Thursday, to let them know the last day of business is set for Jan. 31.

The restaurant also has a second location in Granada Hills, which is also set to close at the end of the month, according to the Shredded Taco website.

We’ve loved meeting, serving and hearing from all of our friends, family, and customers over the years. Your encouragement and support have meant the world to us and we can’t thank you enough,” reads the email. “It’s been an incredible journey and one we never thought we could or would embark on.”

While Shredded Tacos and Jean’s salsa is closing this chapter on January 31, 2018, brothers Robert & Andy will be opening fresh new chapter at Surf n’ Turf Tacos featuring their own special recipes when reopening in Granada Hills and Valencia locations.

The only downtime will be for a few short days, initially featuring a limited menu while they ramp up and finalize their full offering, said officials.

“We’re excited to see them flourish and serve up their own brand of tacos, and in particular, serve up something many ask for all the time – Fish Tacos.”

Shredded Tacos, located on Newhall Ranch Road and Dickason Drive, was frequented by Valencia High School students due to the proximity to the campus.

  1. How sad. We loved shredded and unfortunately no longer frequent the establishment due to the change of management and products. It is not as good as it once was. You know the old saying, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. FYI Fish have the largest tape worms and the highest incidences of food poisoning. Yuck.
