The machine tool company SMTCL-Americas is opening a new marketing and training facility in Santa Clarita to meet the company’s growing demands, SMTCL officials announced Saturday.

The new Valencia location will help service the Northern Los Angeles areas, including the Santa Clarita, Antelope and San Fernando Valleys.
“I am honored to work for such a great company and glad to see such growth that has allowed us to expand into Santa Clarita,” said Caitlin May, the new marketing specialist for the Valencia headquarters. “As a Valencia High School alumni and Santa Clarita resident, this new location is very exciting.”
SMTCL officials are planning to use the new location for customer training, distributor training and new product introductions, as well as “Lunch and Learn” series where local customers can learn about new industry technologies.
SMTCL partners, such as Fanuc, Siemens, Calmotion and others, are also set to use the space to present training information to customers.
“Santa Clarita’s large industrial center is home to many aerospace, automotive and other such engineering and manufacturing companies who could greatly benefit from having a local machine tool company such as SMTCL right around the corner,” stated a SMTCL news release.
SMTCL is a subsidiary of SYMG, the largest machine tool manufacturer in the world, producing approximately 80,000 machine tools each year with revenues of $2.9 billion, according to the release.
Through a network of 15 distributors in the United States, Canada and Mexico, SMTCL provides service and support to customers in a variety of industries, including aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, electronics and job shop.
SMTCL offers more than 300 products, including CNC boring mills, vertical and horizontal turning centers, vertical and horizontal machine centers, gantry type machining centers, pipe threading machines and tapping centers.
