Nancy Brunetti-Blomquist created Soothing Eyes in December 2014 because of her sensitive eyes.

“Every time I got facials, the bright lights bothered me. My eyes were extremely sensitive to that light and I couldn’t relax,” said Brunetti-Blomquist. “After trying many different salons and techniques, I was always disappointed and not relaxed. I decided to make something to block out the light and let me have that hour of relaxation.”

Soothing Eyes are 100 percent handmade, hypoallergenic and made from all natural materials, according to Brunetti-Blomquist.

Soothing Eyes comes in five different colors: pink, blue, purple, green and black.

“Soothing eyes are shaped to the contour of the human eye and can be reused. They are also flexible so you can bend them,” said Brunetti-Blomquist. “They can be used during facials, skin treatments, sunning at the beach, reclined in your favorite chair after a long day at work, or any time you want to relax and protect your eyes from bright light,”

Soothing Eyes are versatile, added Brunetti-Blomquist, “If you have a migraine, they can be put in the freezer or refrigerator for a nice cooling feeling.”

“We can customize Soothing Eyes if a spa, salon or organization wants their logo on it, just like we have with ours, to reflect their brand,” said Brunetti-Blomquist.

Brunetti-Blomquist is asking for $7,500 on her Kickstarter and as of Sunday, June 12, about $2,000 has been pledged on her campaign.

After the Kickstarter ends on Monday, July 27, 2015, Soothing Eyes will be sold on their website for $15 each.
