The Princeton Review releases top picks for 2010
The California Institute of the Arts is among the best colleges and universities in the West according to The Princeton Review. The education services company recommended CalArts in its “Best in the West” list as part of its web feature 2010 Best Colleges: Region by Region. In the profile, The Princeton Review describes CalArts as having “a reputation of intensely training young artists to become working professionals.”
The “Best in the West” list includes 123 institutions located in fifteen states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The feature also includes “Best” lists for other regions of the country, highlighting 218 colleges in the Northeast, 141 in the Southeast, and 158 in the Midwest. The 639 schools recognized represent only about 25 percent of the nation’s 2,500 four-year institutions.
