The Newhall CHP office and Dunkin’ Donuts have partnered up to raise funds to benefit athletes who compete in the Special Olympics within Southern California.
For the second year in a row, local law enforcement officers are inviting Santa Clarita Valley residents to the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 26441 Bouquet Canyon Rd. on Friday, Nov. 2 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Those who make a donation at the Cop on a Rooftop event are set to receive a coupon for a free medium coffee, according to officials.
CHP officers will be taking their service to the community to new heights, as they take to the roof at nearly 70 participating Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Southern California in support of the Special Olympics.
Officer Josh Greengard with the CHP Newhall office estimates 90 percent of Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Southern California will be assisting law enforcement in their efforts to raise funds for special needs athletes.
“Law enforcement and Special Olympics has always had a great relationship for many years,” said Greengard. “A couple of officers will be at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Bouquet Canyon accepting donations.”
For anyone not able to make it to Dunkin’ Donuts that day, CHP officers will also be accepting donations online here.
