Call For Artists To Submit New Names And Logos For Rail Project

magLEVredSanta Clarita residents are invited to participate in a name and logo development contest sponsored by the Orangeline Development Authority (OLDA) and participating community sponsors.  Now through June 15, 2012, the organization is accepting ideas for a new agency name and logo, with cash prizes awarded for first, second and third place winners.

Contest entries will be judged on originality, suitability, and design aesthetics and the same individual can submit in both the name and logo category.  The contest is open to residents who work or attend school in: Artesia, Bell, Bellflower, Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport, Cerritos, Cudahy, Downey, Glendale, Huntington Park, Maywood, Paramount, Santa Clarita, South Gate, and Vernon.

Contest winners will be notified on or after Friday, August 10, 2012 by mail or electronic mail, and only contest winners will be contacted.  Winners should be available to attend a prize award ceremony on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.

The Orangeline Development Authority is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) comprised of 14 members representing 13 cities in Los Angeles County and the Bob Hope Airport in the City of Burbank.  These partners have joined together in partnership to plan, finance, and construct an environmentally friendly, grade-separated, high speed transit system along the Orangeline Development Authority Corridor in Southern California.  The Corridor extends from the northern part of Los Angeles County from Santa Clarita through the Gateway cities to Cerritos.
