Transportation Coalition Seeking Board Member

The City of Santa Clarita is encouraging residents to apply for a position on the North County Transportation Coalition.

The Board is comprised of community leaders from the cities of Lancaster, Palmdale, Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles and is committed to “improving the movement of people and goods in the North Los Angeles County region.”

The North County Transportation Coalition is responsible for the development of policies and strategies that directly lead to the implementation of the projects and programs that address critical north county transportation issues, promote economic development, and maximize transportation funding opportunities for member jurisdictions.

To obtain an application, please visit the City Clerk’s Office on the 3rd floor of City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Blvd. Applications may also be downloaded online.

 

Applications must be submitted, along with three letters of recommendation, to the City Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
