This must be one of the best years in Canyon High senior Chris Duncan’s life.  Not only did he graduate from high school and officially become an adult by celebrating his 18th birthday, but he also won a brand new Nissan Versa.

Duncan was among 3,000 Hart District students who qualified to enter the free car giveaway contest sponsored by Valencia Nissan.  The Hart District partnered with Valencia Nissan in an effort to encourage and reward students for their achievements in and out of the classroom.

In order to participate in the drawing, students in the 10-12th grades had to meet requirements of grades, attendance, in addition to behavior.  Each student had to have a 97% or higher attendance, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2007-2008 year and a clean record with no suspensions or expulsions from school for any reason starting from the first day enrolled in the William S. Hart School District.
