Canyon High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) will host a dance marathon fund raiser, with the proceeds from the event going to benefit LETMESAIL.

LETMESAIL is a non-profit organization, founded by Gary Spindt in 2005, designed to help “differently-abled” individuals with disabilities.

Through therapeutic activities, mental stimulation, and providing a social atmosphere, LETMESAIL encourages differently-abled individuals to lead self-sufficient lives.

Inspired by his daughter with intellectual disabilities, Spindt saw the need to provide differently-abled people with a comfortable setting to socialize with others, and developed LETMESAIL.

The dance marathon will be held in the Canyon High School main gym on May 15th. The music will start at 10 a.m. and end at 11 p.m.

For more information about the event and how to donate, visit the NHS website at http://www.canyonnhs.tk/ or call Megan Scherich at 661-607-2884.
