LA County Fire has declared knockdown on several small electrical fires that were burning in a strip mall at 23033 Lyons Avenue in Newhall.

The fires were caused by a car knocking over an electrical vault in the center, which is near Kansas Street.

Sheriff’s officials say that the driver of the car may have had medical issues before the collision. They were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The accident also knocked out power in the area. Los Angeles County Fire and Edison crews are at the scene. Sheriff’s deputies are handling traffic control on Lyons Avenue.
