Los Angeles County and Forest Service fire crews are on scene of a car over the side of the road above Castaic Lake.

Initial reports of a car over the side with a small spot fire came in shortly after 10:30 a.m. The location of the car is two miles north of Dry Gulch on the west side of Lake Hughes Road.

Fire crews are staging at Lake of the Hills Church. The car is reported to be 1,000 feet over the side. Rescue personnel have found one victim who has significant injuries and is being airlifted to receive medical attention.
