A Lancaster man was injured Tuesday afternoon when he rear-ended a Caltrans truck assigned to a work crew re-striping the 14 freeway.
The work was being done on the southbound 14 at Spring Valley at 11:32 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, a 2000 Chevy Prism came up behind the Caltrans vehicle, a 1997 Ford F-450, and hit it.
The Prism driver, James Alex Gonzalez, 58, was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for treatment of bruised ribs and a broken right hand.
