Young girl narrowly escapes when carjacker takes mother's vehicle.
A 10-year old girl got out of a car just in time Monday before a carjacker drove off with her mother’s vehicle Monday morning.
The girl was in the car while her mother was inside a business at Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road delivering auto parts. A man got into the car and told her to get out. As soon as the girl was out of the car, the suspect drove off in the victim’s vehicle, a 2005 green Ford Taurus, license 5KBG217.
No one was injured and no weapon was seen. The suspect, who is still at large, is described as a male white with green eyes wearing a baseball cap, 5’7”-5”9” weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen traveling northbound on Sierra Highway.
Sgt. Darren Harris advised that anyone seeing the vehicle should call the sheriff’s station immediately.
