Castaic Animal Shelter To Get Major Overhaul

animal_careSupervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced that the Board of Supervisors approved a major overhaul of the County’s animal shelter in Castaic.

The $1.8 million dollar renovations will provide Santa Clarita Valley residents high quality, low-cost pet spay/neuter services and reduce the number of stray animals in our community.

“This facility will significantly enhance the County’s ability to care for animals and encourage pet adoption,” said Antonovich.

The Castaic Animal Shelter currently impounds approximately 4,500 animals annually with thousands of adoptions and pets returned to their owners.
