“Wine and food lovers in the Santa Clarita Valley are invited to a wonderful event that supports the Castaic Education Foundation’s efforts to maintain high quality programs for students at the Sweethearts for Education Wine Tasting Event,” according to a news release.

The donations received from past events have allowed the foundation to help establish science and art labs at each of the elementary schools in the district, according to a news release.

Last year,  the foundation awarded nearly $15,000 in grants to Castaic district teachers for the resources needed for innovative educational projects and programs.

“We look forward to another successful year with the generous support of our community,” said officials from the foundation.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with appetizers and desserts as well as a series of wine tastings.. There will also be a silent auction, prize drawings and a raffle held at the event.

“For those who have attended our event, they know just how relaxing and fun it is and they have a wonderful time,” said officials from the foundation. “I think its proximity to Valentine’s Day and the fact that it supports excellent educational programs in our community really brings people out ready to celebrate. Not to mention the wonderful location, food, and great wines.”

Tickets are available for $50 each, according to a news release. Please contact Diane Fiero at 661-373-4574.

About The Castaic Education Foundation

The Castaic Education Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization that supports the Castaic Union School District. Our purpose is to assist in the achievement and maintenance of a superior program of public education within the District. We organize events and raise funds for all schools within the District. Currently, this is done through providing teachers with grants for equipment and supplemental teaching tools to enhance the learning of our students.

The Castaic Education Foundation was established in 1994. The Board of Directors consisted of 12 volunteers, the District’s Superintendent and Business Manager. The Board has contributed thousands of dollars in direct classroom aid to the students of the District via a structured grant-application process.

The Castaic Education Foundation is currently seeking individuals who are passionate about improving the quality of education in our schools and are interested in helping us in our mission to “Help Students One Teacher at a Time.” Join us for our next board meeting and see what we are doing in the Castaic Union School District community.
