Castaic House Fire May Be Hate Crime

Fire looked intentionally set.

 

A house fire in Castaic was suspected to be arson and might be ahate crime, sheriff’s officials said.

Arson investigators were on the scene at 28265 Parker Roadthroughout the day Saturday, according to Lt. Larry Gump of theSanta Clarita sheriff’s station.

The structure, a single family residence with a small attachment,was 20 percent burned when firefighters responded just before noon.Gump said it was apparent that the fire was intentionally set.
