Droughts, earthquakes and conservation, all impact residents’ water usage in Santa Clarita. The Castaic Lake Water Agency Santa Clarita Water Division, wants residents input when they announce their 2010 Urban Water Management Plan.
At 4 p.m. Tuesday, the water agency will be hosting a workshop for residents to participate in the discussion of new plan.
The plan will describe the long-range water needs of the community through 2035. Topics will include how the agency will respond in an emergency such as an earthquake and how the supply of water will be affected.
Water conservation will be discussed and where the agency will get its water during a drought. The public is encouraged to attend and give their input to the agency.
The community workshop will be at the Castaic Lake water Agency near Central Park at 27234 Bouquet Canyon Road.
