BREAKING NEWS: A Los Angeles County Superior Court has found Eugene Lee Upshaw, the man suspected in the brutal sexual assault of a woman in Castaic on August 20, 2009, guilty on nine felony counts, including sexual assault, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, rape by force and sodomy.
Upshaw was on the run from authorities for more than a year, before being taken into custody in Steuben County, New York on August 26, 2010. He was extradited to California and was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley station on September 16, 2010. He was held in lieu of $10 million bail.
