Castaic School District Hitting The Links For Fundraiser

Golfers in the Santa Clarita Valley can hone their golf swings while
supporting the Castaic School District’s efforts to maintain high
quality academic programs for students in the fifth Annual Golf
Tournament at Robinson Ranch Golf Course on Apr. 3, 2009.

[view:node_ad=5]“The donations received from last year’s golf tournament helped fund a new computer lab for Live Oak Elementary,” said Diane Fiero, president of the Castaic Union School District Education Foundation. “The funds also allow us to grant teachers the needed resources for other educational projects. Our annual tournament is a great and fun way for the community to help enhance the educational programs in the district’s four schools,” added Fiero.

The tournament features a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Participants will receive a continental breakfast, a round of golf with a cart, a barbeque chicken lunch, raffles and prizes, and a tournament T-shirt.

The registration deadline is March 20, and players can register individually for $200 or $700 per four-player teams.

All levels of players are welcome but must be at least 18-years old.

Check-in is at 6:30 a.m. and the tournament tees off at 7:30 a.m.

Those who cannot tell the difference between putters and wedges can still participate by being a sponsor, donating raffle prizes, or signing up as a volunteer.

All registrations and donations are tax-deductible through the Castaic Education Foundation which is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

For more information or sign-up forms, please visit the Castaic Education Foundation website at www.castaiceducation.org or contact Diane Fiero, Foundation president at (661) 373-4574 or email castaiceduaction@gmail.com
