Taco catering truck at gas station site center of activity.
Suspicious activity around a Castaic catering truck noted by watchful citizens led to the Dec. 20 arrest of Mario Flores.
He is suspected of supplying substantial amounts of drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana to customers from his home and a catering truck parked near the Apollo gas station in the 31000 block of Castiac Road.
A search of his residence resulted in the recovery of five pounds of methamphetamine, a pound of cocaine and a pound of marijuana, with a reported street value of more than $100,000. Deputies also recovered a shotgun and more than $25,000 in cash.
Flores was booked at the Santa Clarita station on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of cocaine for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, and possession of a firearm while possessing a controlled substance.
Sgt. Darren Harris said that Flores posted a $50,000 bond on the 20th and was released, pending future court proceedings.
