All scheduled activities cancelled 

[view:node_ad=5]All activities scheduled at the City of Santa Clarita’s Central Park are cancelled through Sunday September 9, 2007.

City officials were originally hoping the park would re-open for the weekend, however the United States Forest Service will still be using the park as a staging area for the Acton Fire.

The approximate 800 participants scheduled to use Central Park this weekend have been notified of the cancellations and will be contacted once events are rescheduled. 

Among activities affected by the closure include the beginning of flag football season and its NFL Kick-Off Event that was to be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007.

The NFL Punt, Pass and Kick portion of that event has been rescheduled for Monday, September 24th from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.
