The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the retirement of their day-to-day leader. Larry Mankin, who serves as CEO and President of the business advocacy organization, will retire effective March 31.
“We extend heartfelt thanks to Larry for his seven years of dedicated service to the chamber and his deep commitment to our business community,” said John Shaffery, 2010 Chamber Board of Directors chair. “We wish him great enjoyment in future years.”
According to an email sent by Shaffery, Mankin plans to relocate to the Midwest to spend more time with his family and grandchildren.
The Chamber Executive Board plans to appoint an interim director soon. Later this year the Board will begin searching for a permanent replacement for the CEO/President position.
