Businesses of the Year highlighted at installation dinner.
[view:node_ad=5]Three new Santa Clarita businesses now hold the title as the Chamber’s best.The Chamber of Commerce held their annual installation dinner Friday night, where new Chairman of the Board Charles Gill officially took his position.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Chamber’s selection of three “Businesses of the Year.”
Local businesses were arranged by size with selections being made in small, medium and large company categories.
The winners are detailed below:
Small business: A-1 Party Rentals, owned by non-smoker Kim Kurowski.
Medium business: Burrtec Waste.
Large business: Chiquita Canyon Landfill.
The other businesses that were nominated are:
Small Business: Advantage Disposal, Candleman, Dessert Alert, and Vino 100.
Medium Business: KHTS AM-1220 Radio, LaQuinta Inn & Suites, SCV Bank, Spirit Properties, Stern, Kory, Sreden, Morgan, CPA.
Large Business: Auton Motorized Systems, Stay Green, The Gas Company, Southern California Edison.
Chairman’s Award winner: Gary Choppe, of Choppe Advertising.
Ambassador of the Year Award winner: Beth Hetu, co -owner of McKenna and Greene.
Two Special Achievement winners: Rhona Jukes and Dora Zavala.
