Come out and enjoy a fun day of soccer this summer as the City of Santa Clarita will host the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Women League Championship.
The game will be presented by Umbro on July 29 and July 31 at Harry Welch Stadium at Canyon High School.
“We’re very excited to be the host city for the USL W-League Championship,” said Mayor Laurene Weste. “Soccer is an extremely popular sport in Santa Clarita. To provide world class competition and affordable family entertainment for our community members is a thrill.”
The 2010 Women’s League Championship will be held in a final four format, with two semifinals played on Thursday, July 29, with the winners meeting for the championship on Saturday, July 31. A consolation game featuring the other two semifinalists will precede the final.
A championship pass is only $10 and allows access to all four games; single day passes are $8. Tickets for the USL W-League Championship are on sale now online at www.Santa-Clarita.com/USL, Santa Clarita City Hall Arts and Events Office and Planet Soccer located at 24331 Main Street.
Home to W-League team, the Santa Clarita Blue Heat, Santa Clarita was selected by the USL to host the event back in April 2010.
