Felony and misdemeanor charges against Stanley Howse, better known as Flesh-n-Bone of the rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, were dropped Monday in Santa Clarita Superior Court.
When he was in court Thursday, Howse’s defense attorney Shepard Kopp presented new information to the District Attorney’s office.

“The case was dismissed today after prosecutors announced they were unable to proceed,” said Shiara Davila-Morales, DA spokesperson.
Howse was pulled over by Santa Clarita sheriff’s deputies on April 2 for a defective taillight. Since he was a convicted felon, deputies then searched his car and Canyon Country home, discovering a 9 MM pistol, ammunition and a small amount of marijuana.
He was booked on suspicion of two felony counts: possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of ammunition by a felon and a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.
Howse remains in custody until parole issues can be resolved; he spent eight years in a California prison on an assault charge and was paroled in July 2008.
