Sheriff's search for new location for their annual "Holiday Toy Store"

The Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station is looking for a new home for their annual, “Holiday Toy Store”.  They have outgrown their 2006 location and are seeking any business that may be able to provide a location for their 2007 event.

This event provides toys to local families in need for the holiday season.  The “toy store” allows these families to pick the gifts for each of their children.  These gifts are then wrapped for them by volunteers.

Last year, they collected over 10,000 toys and serviced over 2,000 local families who might not have been able to provide a little holiday cheer to their children.  They would like to host the event on the weekend of December 14th through the 16th, 2007, from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M..  They need a location that is close to a bus top, at least 2500 sq. ft. and available from December 9th through December 17th, for set up and clean up.

If you are looking for a tax deductible donation or would like to assist them with this event, please call Deputy Laurie Baylis at (661) 799-5164.
