Checkpoint Frustrates Drivers

Another Sheriff’s checkpoint was set up Thursday to check drivers’ licenses…

There have been several checkpoints set up in response  to the 25% increase in hit-and-run crashes over the last year.

Similar to sobriety checkpoints, these events haveoccurred during the day and therefore tend to frustrate drivers who don’t expect the extra traffic congestion.

Local deputies plan to conduct more checkpoints, as they have proven successful so far.
