  1. Get your facts straight before you publish information!!!! These facts are incorrect and an embarrassment! No one as “hiding” in the closet!!!!! These are my neighbors and friends.

    • And you know, for a fact, that they were not hiding in a closet? Or, could it be that the reporter got this info from a Deputy (since they were the ones advised)? Think it through a bit more before responding emotionally.

      • Yes, for a fact they were not in the closet. As a family friend, Don’t you think she had spoken to the family? Think before responding.

      • Many times what is published is absolutely incorrect!! I, at times, have firstchsnd knowledge about some of these incidents and yes, much of the time, info is incorrect! Just because you read it doesn’t mean it’s true or accurate. Secondly, please refrain from accusing someone of reacting emotionally. Family and friends are heartbroken over this matter. Show some compassion and empathy to all involved!

  2. Out of respect for the family and loved ones, please be considerate and refrain posting about this tragic event.

  3. Praying for all involved

  4. These so called “facts” are completely incorrect! So disappointed in KHTS. Get it together!! This is so tragic…my thoughts and prayers are with the family and all of their friends. This is just so devastating and heartbreaking.

  5. This information is false. She did not die in a closet with her mom. Know your correct information before you tell the whole world.

  6. How very tragic, just so very sad.
Prayers to the Family and all those Involved.
    We lost an Angel <3 <3 <3

  7. Right info wrong info?
A tragedy occurred and all you care about is info????
Please Pray for everyone affected by this.
So sad at a time for Holiday cheer turns to sadness for so many.
We’re all precious in Gods Eyes.

  8. Please… whatever the details (and whether they should be published at this time)… a young lady felt the need to end her life. I also lost someone young at the beginning of the year due to a drunk and drugged teenager driving into her. Basically, take a minute, breathe, try to remember what is really important in all of our short lives. Just everyone try to have compassion… everyone is facing their own struggles.

  9. Nice job showing their house. Wtf?

  10. Such a sad time for the family. No parent should lose a child. It happens though and life will never be the same for them. It happened in our family, and my nephew is ALWAYS in our hearts. Praying for comfort for this family now in the days to come.

  11. My prayers go out to family and friends of this family. My church in Lomita is praying for you all

  12. Maybe the mother and a sister were hiding out of fear…if that were me my first thought in hearing a gun go off in my home would be intruder not my child self inflicting. No matter how it went down there is a human life gone from our community who hurt inside so bad (at that moment) she thought it best to leave this world.

  13. My thoughts are the mother and daughter hiding in the closet were fearful an intruder came into their home and shit the other daughter. Who would think that daughter would suicide? Enough of the details, a teenager is gone and her family will never be the same again at Christmas or ever.

  14. My religion tells me it is a sin to commit suicide, I won’t go into details about her afterlife now only to say how sad at Christmastime to ruin it all for her family and friends to make them sad. I only wish she would have gotten help to stay alive and figure out what was so awful In her young life. Hopefully her suicide will not be in vain, other teens please seek help, there is help out there. Don’t end your life, you’re too precious.

    • Only God knew the heart of this young woman, NOT YOU. The one true Father is loving and merciful, not vindictive and retaliative. His promises are truth, eternal and unchanging. Hopefully you will think about that before you post another comment like this one, which only serves to hurt the grieving family further. Fortunately, you are the one who’s wrong here.

  15. could this have been an accident. no one teaches gun safety anymore, depending on locks..ettc.

  16. Mariella L, your comments are what makes tragedies like these so much sadder for the family and that is a SIN in itself. Instead of having compassion for this family’s pain or posting encouraging words, you chose words of discouragement. I believe that the One true God of the Bible is loving and merciful, not vindictive. Only He understood her pain and her heart.

    • Momcee, I’m entitled to my opinion here, I wished this girl sought help and not ended her life. YOU are the angry one here who bad mouths me when you’re quoting and referencing your God who understood her pain. Don’t you think a psychologist or counselor could have helped her or worked with her choice to end her life? I implored other teens to seek help and not have an “I have to end my life” and put it in God’s hands to justify it.
