Children’s Cancer Charity To Hold Golf Tourney

Ninth annual golf tournament offers chance to sink a million dollar putt.

It’s that time again for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation’s 9th Annual Golf Classic.  Scheduled for the Tournament Player’s Club at Valencia on Monday June 9, this annual golf tournament is a favorite among local golfers.

This year will be no different as plans are being made for a wonderful day, starting with a golfer’s breakfast and including such competitions as longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contest. An exciting addition to this year's competition is the chance to putt your way to $1,000,000!

All Michael Hoefflin Foundation golf participants will have an opportunity to qualify for a hole in one million dollar shoot-out sponsored by Jim Doty of First Security Lending. Once qualified, participating golfers will take their chances at sinking a 50-foot putt for the fabulous chance of a lifetime.  This competition will be exciting to watch but even more exciting to enter!

Last year’s Classic was a rousing success with more than $61,000 raised for the foundation’s programs and more than 130 golfers participating.  The weather was perfect for a round of golf and the day was enjoyed by golfers and guests alike.   This year promises to be equally satisfying and we are looking forward to a wonderful day supporting the foundation’s important fight against pediatric cancer.
