In the spirit of the season, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital will welcome Christmas Day newborns into the world in a very special way.

On Monday, newborns will be presented to their mothers clad in red and white hats and blanketed in a large stocking, a unique tradition which has brought much joy to families greeting their newest members during the holiday.

“The mothers are really appreciative of the special attention their newborns receive,” said Sally McGann, Director of Women’s Services at the hospital.

At 3:00 p.m. Christmas Day, members of the media are invited to visit the hospital’s Maternity Ward to photograph our holiday newborns.
