Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich issued the following statement with reactions to the President’s speech:

“President Bush’s steadfast commitment to protect our nation, win the war on terror and bolster the growing economy set the course for hope, opportunity and freedom.    

Building upon his pro-growth policies of creating 7.2 million jobs, lowering unemployment to 4.5 percent, increasing wages by 2.5 percent, and reducing the budget deficit, President Bush’s new economic initiatives will continue this economic growth.   

The President’s focus on the domestic issues of education and healthcare reforms will also strengthen opportunities for our nation’s youth and provide affordable health insurance for all Americans.”
