Santa Clarita hopes to collect 2,200 gift-filled shoe boxes
Nov. 17-24 for world’s largest Christmas project.
Local volunteers are collecting simple shoe box gifts
personally packed by children, families, and individuals here in Santa Clarita.
From Santa Clarita, the shoe box gifts will be sorted and sent using
whatever means necessary—sea containers, trucks, buses, trains, airplanes,
helicopters, boats, camels, even dog sleds—to reach suffering children around
the world.
“We are excited to see how God will use people of all ages
in our community to bring joy and hope to children in desperate situations all
around the world through these gift-filled shoe boxes,” said April
Larsen, Santa Clarita relay center coordinator for Operation Christmas Child.
