The Board is looking forward to working with Ray to expand and facilitate our non-profit organization, benefiting our clients and community stated Judy Penman, President of COH.
Ray has 23 years of experience in the non-profit sector working with boards and volunteers. He’s created many local and national programs throughout his career. Ray has learned fist hand the importance of a support system due to his wife’s breast cancer diagnoses. He has the compassion and insight that cancer patients encounter on a daily basis. Ray believes a strong support system is imperative in the success of the treatment and recovery for the patient.
“What we have in this Valley is a real sense of community,” said Tippet in an e-mail. “Founder Colleen Shaffer, COH Board of Directors and the Angels are a great representation of that. These are amazing people that volunteer their time for a great cause; they are the reason the Circle of Hope is such a success. I am sure I can speak for all non-profits, what makes you successful, is your volunteer base.”
Tippett is fond of the fact that all of the donations for Circle of Hope will be used specifically to help cancer patients in Santa clarita.
“This is only one factor that makes our organization unique. Another advantage is when speaking to potential sponsors, they know we are keeping things local and that we are making a difference in our valley. We may be one of the only non-profits that provide direct financial assistance to those that are diagnosed with Breast Cancer.”
One of Tippet’s goals as Executive Director will be to develop strategic alliances with other non-profits.
“I feel this is critical not only for the COH but for the other non-profits. Co-branding will be essential as we move forward in the non-profit arena.”
Ray Tippet is looking forward to the opportunity to meet and discuss the future of Circle of Hope, Inc. with you. One can contact Ray at Circle of Hope’s office, (661) 254-5218 or email him at RTippet@CircleofHopeInc.org. We ask everyone to join us in providing him a warm welcome.
