As the inevitable expansion of the Santa Clarita population continues, the Santa Clarita City Council gave a second nod to Newhall Land and Farming Co. for the 700-acre, 1,000+ home project on the north bank of the Santa Clara River….

The debate of expansion has been goingon for over a year as opponents are concerned that population growth will adversely affect the surrounding environment.
