On Thursday, March 11, candidates for Santa Clarita City Council will be under one roof for a debate sponsored by local media outlets KHTS AM-1220, The Signal and SCVTV.
The debate will begin at 6:00 p.m in City Council chambers located at City Hall. The public is invited to attend the debate to get a better understanding of the diverse field of candidates.
Those who can’t attend the live event can still catch coverage in The Signal and on hometownstation.com. SCVTV will air video of the debate on select dates in the future, and KHTS AM-1220 will broadcast the audio feed Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Three seats are up in this year’s election, scheduled for April 13. All three incumbents are running for re-election. Those incumbents are Frank Ferry, Marsha McLean and Laurene Weste. Challenging for a seat will be TimBen Boydston, David Gauny, David Galvan, Daniel Henriquez, Harrison Katz, Johnny Pride and Henry Schultz.
Questions for the debate have been generated by all three media outlets, although the public can submit questions for consideration by emailing dell@hometownstation.com.
