During the city’s regular council meeting on Tuesday, The Santa Clarita City Council will consider a resolution increasing fees for many city services including rentals for the sports and recreational buildings.
Among the fee increases is a $2 increase for the aquatic center dive pool for non-profit organizations. The fee for the arena in the recreational building increased from $2 from $150 to $152 for two hours.
Other increases are development fees for items including, Tentative Parcel Map Reviews which now cost $12,496, and increase of $221 from last year.
Along with the proposed fee increases, the Council will discuss doing away with term limits for appointed commissions and committees, a rate adjustment for franchised solid waste, changing traffic signals to LED lamps, drafting a code amendment for displaying merchandise outdoors in the Newhall redevelopment area, and the creation of a tourism marketing district and advisory board.
