City Council Introduces Campaign Donation Changes

khts_citymatters_scvlogoDuring the regular City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night, the Council is expected to introduce a resolution that will change limits on campaign donations.

The resolution would increase the limit individuals can donate to $1000. Also included in the resolution would remove anonymity from donations.

Under current law the donations under $100 do not require disclosure of the donor’s name. If introduced the Council would vote on the resolution Tuesday, July 6.

The City is also expected to acquire some new real estate. The properties are located at 24522 Main Street including an unused Caltrans lot located at 23610 Newhall Avenue.
