There’s been a lot going on in Santa Clarita this summer and exciting changes are coming. The City Council members would like to sit down and talk to you about a variety of city issues at the annual State of the City Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on October 14 in the Hyatt Valencia grand ballroom.
This year’s theme is “A Salute to Our Sheriff and Fire Departments.” The event will also focus on major City issues, programs and projects including the new Old Town Newhall Library and streetscape programs, transit, partnerships, law enforcement, new fire stations, city-wide beautification, roads, open space and bike trails to name a few.

The State of the City Luncheon is an annual event offering residents, business and community leaders an opportunity to learn about what programs and projects the City is currently working on and what is being planned for the future.
“The State of the City Luncheon is a great opportunity for the community to hear directly from their elected City Council members regarding top issues facing our community. I think this is one of those must-attend events for residents and community leaders.” said Mayor Laurene Weste.
The cost of the luncheon is $40 per person and includes a commemorative gift. For more information and to RSVP, call the City at 255-4939 or click here.
