City Gives Senior Center Helping Hand

CitySeniorChecktwoOn Tuesday, Santa Clarita Mayor Marsha McLean and City Manager Ken Pulskamp presented a check representing the annual contribution of $611,080 to the Santa Clarita Valley Committee on Aging to support Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center services.

 

 

Funds allocated by the City of Santa Clarita allow the Senior Center to provide support services for more than 35,000 seniors and functionally impaired adults in the area.

Services available for seniors include transit services, including free Dial-A-Ride and local bus transportation; recreational wellness and personal development classes; a handy worker program to help seniors with home repairs; a home delivery meal program; and health and wellness programs.
