Hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls dressed in western gear will gather in Old Town Newhall this Thursday for the “Saddle Up” SENSES block party to kick off the Cowboy Festival. The block party will feature a mechanical bull, line dancing, live country music, gourmet food trucks, street performers, and Western themed activities.
At 7:30 p.m., the west side of Main Street will hold a ceremony where this year’s honorees – the late Academy Award winning actor Lee Marvin, actor Rodolfo Acosta and cowboy singer Stuart Hamblen – will be inducted in the Walk of Western Stars.
Singer Keesha Scott-Hogan and country rock cover band Dawson’s Gang will also perform.
The Saddle Up block party takes place on Thursday, April 18, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, contact the City’s Arts and Events Office at (661) 250-3787 or visit www.ThursdaysatNewhall.com
