Class designed to help pool owners learn how to cut maintenance
costs.

for Homeowners class on Thursday, April 2 from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. at the Santa
Clarita Aquatic Center.

Certified pool technicians will host the class, designed to
help homeowners cut costs by maintaining their back yard pools without hired
assistance and understanding energy efficient maintenance techniques.

Topics of instruction will include Understanding Your Pool
Equipment, How to Maintain a Beautiful Pool, Saving Energy and Cutting Costs,
and The Basics of Water Quality.

“More Santa Clarita homeowners are looking for ways to cut
back and pool maintenance may be one of the areas affected,” said Mayor Frank
Ferry. “This City is hosting the Pool
School to offer a cost
effective way for community members to maintain their pools.”

The City’s Pool
School for Homeowners
class is $50 to attend.

In addition to energy and cost-saving techniques, other
topics covered in the class will include Safe Chemical Handling Practices and Pool
and Spa Safety Precautions, which will show residents how to maintain their
pool or spa safely.
