City Launches Website To Help Small Businesses

khts_citymatters_scvlogoThe City of Santa Clarita launched a business website in an effort to respond to the needs of the local small business community.

SmallBizSantaClarita.com connects local small businesses with services, incentives and opportunities available through the City of Santa Clarita, the SCV Chamber of Commerce, Valley Industrial Association, College of the Canyons, Small Business Development Center, Santa Clarita WorkSource Center and other resources in Santa Clarita.

“The City of Santa Clarita understands how strongly the success of local small businesses relates to the health of Santa Clarita’s economy and exemplary quality of life,” said Mayor Laurene Weste. “From corner shops and local grocers, to restaurants and apparel retailers, SmallBizSantaClarita.com offers vital tools and techniques to help businesses flourish, while benefitting the community as a whole.”

The website will provide local small businesses with the tools required to build, sustain, and expand their professional endeavors.

Visitors are able to search for money-saving incentives, employee-training programs, networking groups, and a host of other resources to better their business.

The current economy is a topic on all business owners’ minds, and SmallBizSantaClarita.com offers an entire webpage devoted to incentive programs.

Visitors to SmallBizSantaClarita.com can also view a Doing Business with the City page for tips on how to be placed on a potential vendor list and expand their business opportunities.
