If you build it, they will come. But will they be able to check out?
Applications for Santa Clarita Valley residents are now available online for the new Santa Clarita Public Library card, which will allow patrons to check out and reserve materials at the three Santa Clarita public libraries after July 1.
To receive their new library card, patrons will also need to show either a valid California Driver License or a valid California Identification Card with a current address, or two forms of identification, one showing who you are and the other indicating a current mailing address in California.

To complete the new library card registration and receive their new card, patrons will need to show up in person at their local Santa Clarita branch library in Canyon Country, Newhall or Valencia on or after July 1 with their identification.
Upon receiving their new library cards, patrons will have the ability to place up to 15 holds for materials. Children who would like to obtain a card must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to complete the registration process.
